It's a MAAD world

What happens when you're broke, bored and in dire need of inspiration? Head over to the red dot design museum on the first weekend of the month of course :D It's free entrance and they hold their monthly Market for Artists and Designers (MAAD)- a market selling handmade goods from jewelry, cd's, stationery and...portraits. While looking around, this guy comes up to my friend and I and ask us to pose for their portrait day. Never thought I would ever get to sit in front of a bunch of artists to be drawn...interesting experience I must say. Quite awkward to sit and be stared at for 20 minutes, but some of the illustrators were really good and I ended up buying an awesome portrait of my friend and I for $10! I love random moments like these... :D

To the good times that lie ahead
It's 2010! But instead of wondering where time has gone, I feel like I really made the most of 2009. The past year was in one word, surreal. I did things I never thought I would ever get to do at this stage of my life, and I can't help but be eternally grateful for all the blessings. I got to travel a looot the past year and I've started to feel very at home and at ease inside airplanes and airports haha. I feel like I could live there, traveling from one country to another. I've really gotten used to always being on the move, packing up and leaving when it's time to go. If only I could be a professional traveller someday :D (becoming a stewardess is definitely out due to height requirements and all) I was quite reluctant to say goodbye to 2009 being the awesome year it was, but then again it's not like something I can hold back. Life happens and before you know it it's time to pack up again and move on. 2010 will be another big year with graduation, work, and whatever else that comes my way. Exciting yet scary. Here's to the good times that lie ahead :D
